Trainers & Team

High Valley Hanoverians is extremely proud of our resident trainers and other members of the team who demonstrate daily their dedication to proper young horse development and their loving devotion to these amazing equine athletes.

An animal lover from birth, Sarah grew up in a small city near Cincinnati, Ohio, far removed from anything resembling "horse country." She discovered her passion for horses at the age of 8, when she started taking riding lessons on a friend's Haflinger ponies. From the first touch, there was no going back, and she became determined to learn everything she could about horses. She grew up in Pony Club and working with an Eventing coach. She discovered her passion for classical dressage when she met her friend and mentor, Caroline Bergsma, who introduced her to a new way of communicating with horses.

After high school, she spent a few years in Working Student positions, the highlight of which was working at Baroque Farms under the tutelage of Master Horseman, Jean-Phillipe "JP" Giacomini. She returned to Ohio and helped manage a boarding farm in New Carlisle, while also studying to achieve her certification in Equine Sports Massage Therapy.

When Sarah was introduced to High Valley Hanoverians, she found that HVH shares in her vision of raising horses naturally, and developing them correctly to create willing and harmonious partnerships. As an avid student of the horse, she is delighted by the opportunity to further improve her horsemanship while developing the talents of the exceptional horses in the HVH program.

High Valley Hanoverians is pleased with the dressage excellence that Sarah contributes to the HVH team in addition to her exceptional equine massage talents.   We are looking forward to her contribution to the HVH training and sales program “Developing Hanoverian Athletes in the Mind & the Body®”.
